I guess working overtime isn't so bad after all

Now I have a reason to work overtime -- I need the money to buy a Canon EOS 1000D! It's almost within my reach!!! WAARRRGGGHHH!!! *transforms into an evil manster (man + monster)*

SmartBro's "temporary" problem -- temporarily solved

UPDATE:
I have "solved" the problem by changing the DNS (whatever it may be) in my computer's Network Connections. Right-click on Local Area Connection and choose Properties. Double-click on Internet Protocol, and choose Use the following DNS server addresses. Change them into:

208.67.222.222
208.67.220.220

PGMA's Brother-in-Law Files Bill Requiring Nurses and Other Professionals Mandatory Local 2-Year Service Prior to Working Abroad

Negros Oriental Rep. Ignacio “Iggy” Arroyo is proposing that all registered nurses and other professionals such as
doctors, pharmacists, midwives, medical technologists, physical therapists, engineers, teachers, sailors, accountants, interior designers, nutritionists and criminologists should be required to work locally for two years before they are allowed to seek employment abroad.

House Bill 04580 otherwise known as the Mandatory Two-Year Domestic Service for all Filipino Registered Professional Act was filed on July 1, 2008 and is currently pending in the lower house of Congress.

Meanwhile, Trade Union Congress of the Philippines
secretary-general Ernesto Herrera called the bill, "absolutely unfair and highly discriminatory."

He added,
"We have a huge glut of professionals in many sectors. In the case of nurses, the main reason they are leaving the country is because wages here are grossly inadequate. And the pay is meagre, precisely because of the massive surplus of nurses. This is the law of supply and demand at work."

Low salaries and absurd working conditions -- this is the reality of the nursing profession here in the Philippines.

And a lot of nurses can't even find a nursing job! Are you fucking out of your mind?!

Problem loading page -- solved (?)

Am I the only one experiencing this annoying *expletive*?

I do not know the root cause.

I was using Firefox 3 when this sh*t happened. Thinking that it might be the cause, I uninstalled it and reinstalled Firefox 2. Still, the problem persisted. I keep on clicking on the Refresh button. Sometimes the pages load, but oftentimes "Problem loading page" appears.

Or maybe because we started using a wireless router. But why do some sites load properly (e.g. Google) while others don't? Our ISP is SmartBro.

I even tried using Internet Explorer, but web pages still do not load.

I shut off my ZoneAlarm firewall and AVG anti-virus, but nothing happened.

What the hell is wrong?! (?)

I love my job. Yahoo. :-|

Yesterday, I had to do overtime work.

And earlier, I again had to do it! Yey! @_@

And then I had to ride the MRT at 5:30pm. At 5:30PM!!!

****

I want to be absent from work. I want to leave work. Ironically, I still go to work, and work for more hours than usual.

Reaction formation? (?)

I love my work so much

I love my work so much that I willingly accepted overtime work earlier, despite knowing that I will be coming home later in the evening at a time that's just enough for me to get 6 hours of sleep at most (I have to wake up at 3:00am). *gasps for air*

@_@

It's one of those moments

Ako: "Ma'am Y, endorse ko lang sagl... [..it mga pasyente ko, kakain lang ako saglit.]"
Ma'am Y: "Ay, nag-endorse na sa akin si Ma'am M."
Ako: "...FUCK!"

*hahaha*

Get a life

Hmm, let's see if I need to. For the past 7 months since I've started working, my life has been like this:

PM shift:
9:30AM = wake up
9:30AM to 10:45AM = prepare for work (1hr 15min)
10:45AM = leave home
10:45AM to 12:45PM = travel from home to workplace at QC (2hrs)
12:45PM = arrive at workplace
1:00PM to 9:00PM = work (8hrs)
9:00PM to 11:00PM = travel to home (2hrs)
10:30PM to 11:00PM = arrive home
12:00MN = sleep
*repeat the process the following day*

AM shift:
3:00AM = wake up
3:00AM to 4:15AM = prepare for work (1hr 15min)
4:15AM = leave home
4:15AM to 5:15AM = travel from home to workplace at QC (1hr)
5:15AM = arrive at workplace
5:30AM to 1:30PM = work (8hrs)
1:30PM to 4:30PM = travel home @_@ (3hrs)
4:30PM = arrive home
4:30PM to 9:00PM = rest / eat / struggle to sleep early / feel bad about working the following day
9:00PM = sleep
*repeat the process the following day*

Rest days:
12 hours = sleep
rest of the day = internet / eat / Muay Thai / wala na

****

Sleep should be around 8 hours ideally. My work is for 8 hours a day. Preparation for work should be around 1 hour. My travel time from home to work takes more than 4 hours a day. Therefore, I only have less than 3 hours a day for myself. @_@

DFA personal apperance -- finally!

Finally, they've approved my application and scheduled me for personal appearance at DFA Manila. I went there earlier. I arrived at around 1:40pm, and I left at 1:50pm. Yes, I was done in 10 minutes.

Aboitiz 2GO will deliver my passport straight to my residence once DFA releases it.
